Got a new keyboard for the holidays. NuPhy Halo75v2 with Gateron Lemon switches. It is replacing a Keychron V1 with Keychron K Pro Blue switches. I really liked my Keychron, but it began exhibiting a serious problem. Keys would intermittently stop working. The intermittent-ness would fairly rapidly increase once a switch began showing symptoms. I bought a jar of replacement switches, thinking maybe they are just from a bad batch. However, when the same keys began dying 2-3 times, itβs more apparent that thereβs a bigger issue. There are some Reddit threads suggesting that the PCB has a design flaw on the original Q/V boards, but customer service never really gets anywhere with people trying to fix their products. So with that in mind, I pivoted to a different company - NuPhy! Hopefully this one treats me better. ni hao
I am looking for a keyboard that fits my cousin's small hands. Preferably pink and not too loud
Iβve been using the Keywave Pro 7X daily for about 3 months.\n\nPros:\n- Solid gasket feel\n- Great stock stabilizers\n- Clean RGB\n\nCons:\n- Stock switches are a bit scratchy\n- Software could be better\n\nOverall, still happy with the purchase.
If your keyboard is too loud but you donβt want to rebuild everything, here are a few easy mods: - Switch films - Desk mat under your board - Lubing stabilizers - Foam mod (PE or case foam) These made a huge difference for me without affecting typing feel.
"Iβm looking for a quiet TKL keyboard for shared spaces. Any suggestions?"
I am fixing the post
I just bought Aula F75. Everything works fine, however, knob isn't working at all. Like pressing and rotating the knob doesn't register at all - it doesn't change LED brightness, nor does it change system volume, it literally does nothing. Updating firmware doesn't work. Long pressing knob doesn't work. Does anyone have any idea how to make it work?
Hi, Iβm looking for a TKL or 75% keyboard mainly for gaming and long coding sessions. Budget: around $100β120. Iβm in Morocco, and shipping/import fees can be brutal. Sometimes a keyboard thatβs $100+ ends up with +$100 fees, so I need options that are actually realistic to buy internationally. Boards I was considering first: Aula F75 and Rainy 75. I do know theyβre both generally on the loud side β I initially considered them, then remembered my shared-living situation. I might still keep them in mind as future buys if needed later. My current need: something that wonβt be loud in a shared space. Ideally: a quiet prebuilt, OR a board thatβs hot-swappable where I can install silent switches. If going with Aula F75 / Rainy 75, Iβm interested in whether they can be made properly quiet by swapping switches without any weird compromises (stability, feel, latency, etc.), and whether thatβs good value compared to: a different custom build alternative, or a prebuilt thatβs already quiet. I also recently discovered HE (Hall Effect) keyboards. They sound cool for gaming, but Iβm unsure: if thereβs any good affordable HE option in this range (especially after fees) what the real trade-offs vs mechanical are (typing feel, software, reliability, etc.) Bonus preference: I love shine-through RGB keycaps (Razer Blade laptop-style look). If thatβs doable at this budget without sacrificing feel/responsiveness, great β if not, Iβll prioritize comfort + performance. Any recommendations (and βavoid thisβ warnings) appreciated. Thanks π
